The Hogwarts Express

(( I'll kick it off the same way I did as last time))

Draco walked along the narrow corridor of the Hogwarts express. First years shuffled along before him, they whispered among themselves things Draco was not interested in. He huffed in irritation as a small brunette boy suddenly stopped in front of him.

"What are you doing?" He spat

The young first year turned to stare at Draco.

"I-I..I'm sorry" he stuttered.

"I don't care, just keep moving will you!"

Turning sharply on the spot the first year practically ran forward, smashing into the back of his friends; "hey watch it Mitch" the Blonde girl walking in front of him seethed. Feeling somewhat proud of himself Draco moved forward smirking.

"Hey I found an empty one!" The brunette first year, Draco now knew as Mitch, shouted pointing; moving forward he opened the door, but as he was about to take one final step that would indicate that he was in the compartment Draco lashed out and grabbed the boy by the back of the collar, pulling him away from the compartment

"Heeeeey!" Mitch squealed, flinging his arms in the air

"Seniors first" Draco said crudely, pushing Mitch out of the way and stepping into the empty compartment

"What an asshole" The Blonde girl hissed, as Draco closed the compartment door on them. Sighing he lifted his trunk up into the shelves above the seats.

Stretching slightly he dropped onto the comfortable, soft sofa like seat. Unbuttoning the top three bottons of his uniform and pulling his green and silver tie loose around his neck; sliding down into the seat, slouching, he put a foot up on the seat parallel to him, his leg stretching across the small space of the compartment easily. Resting his elbow on the ledge under the window, he settled his chin into the palm of his hand and stared out the window blankly, watching everyone board The Hogwarts Express.

.....Great

Draco had become so lost in thought his reaction were severly delayed.
Rotating his head slowly with his hand, he looked at the enterence to the compartment to see a girl he vagly remebered staring at him
He stared back and forwned slightly confused. Slowly his sense's cought up with him
"What are you doing?" he asked lazily, still frowning in confusion

Alex, groggy and feeling a little lost, pushed and shoved her way through the train with many a "Pardon!" uttered. Luckily, she already had a compartment ready for her - she'd been there earlier, and put her trunk in it. She was trying to make her way to it when she heard the unmistakable sound of Draco Malfoy. She scowled, and turned automatically to see who he could possibly be torturing before term even started.

Draco was so tired. He could feel his eyelids becoming heavier and heavier.
He blinked a few times trying to stay awake before taking a deep breath
He had so much on his mind....
"Well its not" Draco answered without giving much thought to his answer. His voice still lazy.

Alex sensed an argument. The mere thought sent shivers up her spine - arguing with Draco Malfoy was never something she wanted to see happen.

"There's space in my compartment," she said to the girl glaring at Draco. She took a hesitant step forward. "I mean, if you don't mind sitting with a complete stranger."

Alex grinned halfheartedly. She led the other girl a few compartments over, and stood aside to let her in.

"I figured letting Malfoy up on his pedestal on the first day of term would be a bad idea ... because no matter what you say, he'll think he's right."

She sighed. "Make yourself comfortable."

Draco winced at the sound of the compartment door slamming closed.
He screwed his eyes shut at the noise pierced through his aching head.
He felt like he was going to be sick, his stomach was flipping uncontrolably.
He turned to stare back out the window longingly. How he wanted to just get away from here, to be safe, to be able to survive the year.....

Scarlette shuffled down the corridor of the Hogwarts express, desperatly searching for a place to sit. She pulled her trunk along behind her. Saying several apologise to the people that tried to pass here

Alex shrugged, taking a seat and stretching out. "Well, Malfoy without Crabbe and Goyle isn't much of a threat. I wonder where those two are? Perhaps he's found a new set of thugs ... and you're right, he does seem a bit off, doesn't he?"

She sat upright suddenly. "Gosh, I'm stupid. Forgot to introduce myself. I'm Alex David," She held out her hand. "And you are?"

Scarlette wondered by a compartment containing to girls; biting her lip she knocked on the compartment door.
"Can I join you?" she asked

Draco began chewing the inside of his mouth. He stared at his right arm for a minute before slowly pushing his sleeve up. Why did I do this! he practially screamed at himself as he looked at the tattoo. Silently he began tracing the outline of the tatto....

"I'm year six," Alex said, smiling and sitting back.

Just then, a girl knocked at the door. She looked up.

"You can join us, of course," Alex said. "We were just introducing ourselves. I'm Alex. What's your name?"

Sacrlette smlied warmly
"Scarlette" She said "nice too meet you..and thanks"
She moved into the compartment and lifted her trunk up into the racks.
Signing from the struggle she sat down next to the girl she didn't know the name of

Draco continued to idly trace the dark mark imprented on his forearm

"Yes six" Scarlette nodded "I'm in Slytherin, you?" she asked

"Ravenclaw," Alex said. "Not sure why the old Hat put me there, but at least I got a nice scarf out of it, eh? And what about you, Serenity? What colours are you forced to wear year-round?"

Scareltte laughed "Now all we need is a Hufflepuff"

"I'm not a Hufflepuff," Terry Boot said, leaning up against the door frame. "But I do need a place to sit. Only thing close to an empty compartment is with that Malfoy git. Mind if I take a seat?"

Alex looked up to see her friend, Terry, asking to sit in the compartment. She was a little surprised - usually she sat alone on the way to Hogwarts. "Sure, Terry, sit down. The more, the merrier, I suppose."

Terry nodded. "Thank you," He lugged his trunk into the luggage rack and sat down next to Alex. "I'm Terry," he said, looking at the two other girls. "Terry Boot. Ravenclaw Sixth Year. I don't believe I've had the pleasure of either of your acquaintances."

Scarlette smiled, even though she thought Terry was a little creepy...
"Scarlette. Sixth year. Slytherin" She copied his introduction

"Serenity, sixth year, Gryffindor." She repeated for him since he hadn't been there the first time round.

A few moments after Terry a harrassed looking Hermoine poked her head in the compartment. "Have you seen Harry or Ron?" She asked Serenity.
